Practice, not natural ability earns soccer scholarships.

Do I Need Natural Soccer Ability to Play College Soccer?

Natural Soccer Ability Doesn’t Exist…

People tend to believe that successful soccer players are just born with their talent or ability, and that they will never be able to achieve greatness on a similar scale. Though that discussion can go on in endless debate, in all cases of great players, hard work was just as important, or was what created this “natural ability.”

The greatest soccer players in the world (Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, etc.) do have an unbelievable ability and do things on the field that not many can replicate. But, you cannot discredit their hard work and dedication to their craft from a young age.

MessiAs we see with Messi, when first starting out he was considered “too small” which in the minds of many coaches early on said would affect his overall success in the game. That never deterred Messi from what he wanted to accomplish.

At a young age, his family took a risk by moving 6,000 miles away to Barcelona, Spain. While in one of the best youth academies in the world, we saw Messi slowly emerge to the great player he is today.

Many doubted him, but what you always hear him say is that he dedicates his success to his love of the game, his families’ support, and all the hours he put in on the field!

Though we may never be Messi, we all can learn a lot from him. Here at Perfect Soccer Recruit we always stress doing everything 100 percent and to always believe in yourself.

We want you to have no regrets and to see your dreams become reality. The best way to do that is to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.

Quincy and I cannot stress to you enough, the importance of practice. Not just your sanctioned practice with your team, but with your friends in your neighborhood, by yourself, wherever! Where there is a ball, there is opportunity to get practice and get better.

We always suggest that there are three things you should work on to improve the most important fundamentals to you soccer game. These skills are imperative in becoming a good overall player in the sport of Soccer.

So, make sure always to work on these things as well as the parts of your game you have a love for most. If you just put enough time in, you will begin to see yourself become the player you’ve always wanted to be.
